See What Kristina has Inspired Me to Do Next (and a Special Video)
It was June.
Life for the Barrett family changed forever on the 21st when we said “see you later” to our 12-year-old daughter, Kristina. She had battled cancer for 4 years.
Kristina was (and still is) a spunky, creative, funny, adventurous little girl who loved to make people smile. If there’s one word that could sum up her life, I choose the word hope.
She had it. It was in our great God. And she loved to give it to others.
In fact, she asked me to give it to others on her behalf.
Please watch this special video to see what’s next:
So this June…
I will continue her legacy of hope by climbing Mount Hood in Portland, OR. It’s called Expedition for Hope. A film crew is coming with me to make a full-length documentary of the climb and our story. We’re doing this to bring smiles to children battling cancer.
Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation (CCRF) was there for us at our time of need. And I’m determined to help them help other families, too. This documentary and expedition is purposed to raise fund and awareness for CCRF so they can further their great work. The documentary will be promoted to tens of thousands of people across the nation.
I believe in CCRF. I’ve already participated in a Guinness World Record skydiving event to raise over $40,000 for them. And I believe in hope.
So I am asking for your help to get me and my team to the top of Mount Hood. Your financial support will help us on our climb, produce the film, and bring great awareness and funding to CCRF.
Please help me make those kids smile. Just like my Kristina wanted. Help us bring them hope.
I can’t thank you enough for all your prayers and support!
And I can’t wait to step foot on this mountain…
