I Triple Dog Dare You…To Find Your Method!
To put it plainly, the best method of evangelism is the one used by you. (Click here to tweet that!)
It’s kinda like Forrest Gump and his partner in the shrimping business. Recall this quote from the movie: Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey’s uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that’s about it.
Yup. Many methods of cooking shrimp. (Just as long as you cook it!)
So it is with evangelism! As long as the gospel is clearly given–Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead, and believing in Jesus alone saves from sin–the methods can be numerous.
Let’s see. Dey’s uh, friendship evangelism, door-to-door, and street-preachin’. You can evangelize at the gym, at your job, and to your neighbors.

And if you wanna learn how to share the gospel effectively to children, you gotta take a good look at Child Evangelism Fellowship. (I get to be the Director for this organization in Houston, TX!)
Sure. Some methods worked well in the past and need to be tweaked to continue reaching the next generations. But people have asked on many occasions, “What is the best method of evangelism?” And, again, my answer: the one you use.
Just use one. The one that works best for you. As long as the gospel is clear!
