About 1 year ago, I stopped blogging.

Our daughter, Kristina, began to decline quickly. She passed away on June 21, 2014, after a 4-year battle with the rare Clear Cell Sarcoma.

But I didn’t stop writing. Each day I forced myself to think on positive truth from God’s Word, wrote it down, and it helped me to thrive. Still does!

Over the last 5 years, I’ve learned the importance of keeping my mind set on truth. Positive truth. God’s truth. In fact, I’ve gone from being riddled with anxiety and depression (even before Kristina got cancer) to being free from it all together.

Especially during the worst nightmare a parent can endure–losing a child–God’s positive truth has enabled me to thrive and not just survive.

Please don’t get me wrong. Thriving during a painful struggle doesn’t mean one doesn’t feel pain.

It isn’t avoiding pain, either.

Or forcing a smile, pretending everything is fine, or seeking the next escape.

But thriving is…

Gazing upon Jesus, crying out to Jesus, crying with Jesus, resting in Jesus, listening to Jesus, journeying with Jesus…

…because He’s walking right here next to me.

So I’ve posted many of these thoughts on Facebook over the last couple years. Since they seemed to help others as they did me, I put together my favorite ones into this ebook for you to download.

I’m giving away my new ebook to newly signed up followers to my blog, and I wanted to make sure everyone got one. Including you!

It’s my gift to you.

Just click here, and you’ll be brought directly to it!

Feel free to read a quote each day–chew on it. Talk to God about it. Share it with friends. My hope and prayer is that God gets glory as hurting people turn to Him.

By the way, I’m ready to start blogging again. Please pray for me as this is quite therapeutic for me.

God bless!
